Hey Lovelies! Happy Friday!
.
I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! I got freakishly sick a couple of days ago and have been out of commission, but I’m slowly fighting it off.
Anyway, can you believe it’s April already?! Crazy!!!
You may or may not know this, but April is Autism Awareness month. The official color for autism awareness is blue, so in honor of that, some fellow nail bloggers and I are going to be sporting some blue tips on our blogs this month!
This is something that’s really close to my heart because I used to teach autistic kids, and a friend of mine has two young children with autism.
That same friend is currently raising money for an autism awareness walk that she will be participating in later this year.
Her name is Jessica Scott, and if you would like to donate to the cause you can do so here:

.
There’s also a little Autism Speaks badge over there –> that you can click on to donate.
.Every little bit counts, and the form on the site makes it super easy to donate. Plus it’s tax-deductible! :)
.
Anyhow, to kick off my month of “Blue Nails for Autism Awareness” I have OPI Glacier Bay Blues.
This lovely came out in OPI’s Canadian Collection in 2004, and was a lemming that I recently slayed
It’s a really gorgeous dark blue duochrome, that flashes green and purple (which is hard to capture on camera).
In the pics below I used 3 coats, though I could’ve gotten away with 2.
Please forgive the fact that my cleanup is a little lacking. I still feel pretty crappy and probably should not have been painting my nails, but I really wanted to get this autism awareness post up.

.
And because I’m compelled to layer even when I’m sick, here’s a pic with Cover Girl Ice Slicks Anti-Freeze over it…
.
Isn’t it gorgeous?
I’m really gonna have to revisit this baby when I’m feeling a bit better.

.
So there you have it, my first installment into my month of blues for Autism Awareness.
As I said, many other nail bloggers are joining in on this, so keep your eyes peeled for their blue tips too!
If you’d like to join in, you’re more than welcome to! Anything to support the cause!
